Chesterfield Borough Council provides services to more than 104,000 residents.
We run a range of facilities across the town including two leisure centres Queen’s Park Sports Centre and the Healthy Living Centre), two theatres (Pomegranate and the Winding Wheel), Chesterfield indoor and outdoor markets and a large number of parks and open spaces.
The council is also responsible for services including rubbish collection, street cleaning, car parks, council housing, homelessness and benefits advice, as well as enforcement activities round issues like fly tipping, noise nuisance, anti-social behaviour and licensing.
The council supports the NMSY Apprenticeship Awards as part of its work to support the economic growth of the town. As an Apprentice Town we are keen to develop Chesterfield as a place which actively encourages apprenticeship opportunities.
We are working with employers to encourage them to think about providing apprenticeships when planning their workforce, as well as taking on more apprentices ourselves.
Our economic development team can provide help, support and guidance to businesses of all sizes, including assistance with skills development and applying for grants.
More information about the services we provide, including those available to businesses, can be found on our website at www.chesterfield.gov.uk
